USB Micros...
USB has now became a defacto standard for connecting various pheripherals to the Computers. With the advent of USB-OTG(USB On-The-Go) it
is now possible even for two pheripherals to communicate with each other (as long as they implement the OTG functionality).
Many semiconductor companies have come up with microcontrollers, microprocessors with on-chip USB support. At the same time, there are
people who implemented IP Cores in FPGA for USB (which can be integrated integrated into your own application).
The following table provides a list of companies, their products, and features those products support. The table also lists additional support
options like software bundled with those products etc..
Also note that these USB products come in three versions. Products that comply with USB 1.1 specification, products that comply with USB 2.0 specification,
and products that support USB OTG. Wireless USB is one more option, but as of now I don't have much information to add to that.
